Animals in Art in the Ancient American Cultures, were both real and fantastic. They have been an important motif for craftman in every culture. Early jewelry, overflows with animal forms, they were used to infuse objects with sacred and magical power.

Art was an important form of expression in the Americas for hundreds, even thousands of years.

Every culture in the Americas created objects such as a bears, juguars, eagles, etc. Most art expressions were created as a symbol, but they differ in the materials they used: rocks, feathers, cloth, clay, gold and fabric.
