Ancient people from the Andes used gold objects in their ceremonies and to adorn themselves. Beautiful and heavily worked rings, bracelets, earrings, pectorals, nosepieces, and masks, gave name to “El Dorado” (golden in Spanish), the legendary “Lost City of Gold, famous since the days of the Spanish Conquistadors.
