Molas are a unique form of textile art made by the Kuna people of Panama and Colombia. Some designs are very elaborated and can take weeks of delicate sewing.

This project teaches children how to make molas using color paper and felt. Instead of sewing we will use glue, and we will add layers from top to bottom instead of going deep into the fabric layers. But we will use their art as inspiration and we will use their bright colors and designs.
